SW 915 pricing

Yeah, I have a thing about condition, too.

From 2007 (when I started collecting S&W 3rd Gen Autos) to 2017, I have only seen two 915 pistols here in Southern California (So Cal) in 99% condition . . . and I bought both ($350 in 2008 and $500 in 2017). Pristine examples of blue/black alloy frame 3rd Gens are tough to find since they show every ding, scratch and rub.

The funny thing out here in So Cal is that 915 pistols in 90-95% on consignment in the gun stores go for darn near the same as the pristine examples . . . go figure.
Both the near perfect one I found in 2015 (but lost) and the ANIB one I found (and bought) in 2016 were $450 each (+tax/fees). The worn & rusty one I found in 2016 was $285 (+tax/fees). Was it worth it to me to pay ~$165-$170 extra for ANIB with everything vs. worn & rusty?

Absolutely, YES! :D

I've been searching gun shops in my area for S&W gen3 autos....and they are hard to find. No one is trading them in anymore it seems?
A 915 in good condition would sell for $500-$600 here in MA

The thing is that you just don't see any 915's in really good to excellent condition in Massachusetts. For a pistol that is supposedly abundant everywhere due to allegedly massive quantities manufactured and sold, they sure are hard to find in this loony moonbat state of ours.

Well I had the chance to take my new 915 to the range to day along with my new 3913LS and new Sig P220 (West German 1990s). I had no complaints about any of them. They were all as I had anticipated.. better shots than I am:) The 3913LS may become my new carry pistol. The 915 was just fun to shoot. The older Sig P220s are just awesome.. but they are not Smiths.. so I won't dwell.
