SW model 19 performance center.

Hey everyone.

I bought a model 19 performance center revolver and I noticed the rounds slides in/out inside cylinder freely. I only have buffaloebore ammo and both, .38 special and .357, are doing this. Is this normal?

I tried to search for this but I can’t find any info. If you look at the pictures, when revolver is pointing up, even the firing round slides out. Thanks for any insights.

This situation is totally normal and when the revolver is good ‘n dirty it happens less. Nothing you show here would be any concern to me.

It shoots fine and I don’t recall noticing at the range. I know I need to start paying more attention to this type of thing.

Exactly the opposite can be evidence of a problem. If you fire the revolver and the brass resists ejection, that can be a sign of excessive pressure. Using strictly factory ammo, it’s not something you are likely to see. And when I say “resists ejection” I mean heavily so, to the point where you feel the need to tap the ejector rod with something to remove spent brass.

I’ve experienced the over pressure with buffaloebore 357 outdoorsman. I had to get range guy to help me knock those shot casings out. I only bought the outdoorsman for the lease so I need to try some other brands. No issues with their .38 spl +p.
