Hello,
here is my Safety Hammerless SW in .38SW.
The front sight has been changed by his last owner in order to have a front sight that suited him better.
I will use it at the range with black powder load.

Nice 38 Safety, 3rd Model, and it should do well at the range. I find it was shipped close to 1893, so that may be why you are choosing black powder loads. There was no significant changes made to these revolvers from the 1890s to the 1900s and most, if not all, handled smokeless powder loads throughout their life. If you can buy current factory rounds, they should all be loaded with these old top-breaks in mind.

Hello
I would like to shoot it with the original load, thats why I choose black Powder
Yes we have smokeless powder available and I use it to reload my modern handguns (G17, SW625, Kimber) and rifles.
Thanks for all the info you gave me on this revolver

Hello here are the result of my blackpowder reloading at 15 and 25 yards

While that is no match winner it was never meant to be one and it certainly is accurate enough for personal defense as intended.
Many are surprised to learn that quite often the original black powder load was more powerful than the modern smokeless stuff.
