I just received the zipper case for the SW22 Victory from Smith & Wesson. The gun doesn't fit.....anyone else had this experience?

R U sure? I didn't think mine did either but it does.

It will also hold at least six mags.

I am assuming you have the standard barrel with no screw in or suppressor.

With the bag open place the barrel pointing into the tapered end and begin to zip the bag; when you have the zipper at the 12 o'clock position move the butt of the pistol up (towards the 11 o'clock position and the zipper will move on towards closing.

Clock positions give relative to the view of the bag

I have this version

No luck.....still won't. It appears the sewing is not properly lined up........great!!

Okay let's try with photos before you call their CS.

The starting position

It is at this point the zipper contacts the butt of the SW22 and you need to slide the butt towards the zipper and past it.

and voila!

Hope this works for you. If not I am sure they will replace it.

Yes, it will barely go in if I don't use the barrel pocket. Guess I'll just use it without the pocket. Thanks again for the tips!!

Yep. I've never used the barrel pocket. I do keep a card in one pocket for notes and the hex key in the other pocket. I keep five mags in the outside pocket. After emptying all five mags I check the set screw and tighten if necessary. Haven't had to tighten for the last five trips so I must be getting the torque correct.

About two days ago I got a #61 o-ring and have that in the pocket as well should I decide to try that on the set screw.

I love the bag.

I don't use the zippered cases anymore. Too stiff and space-consuming. And you can't (shouldn't) store your guns in the zippered ones long term, due to rust concerns. This is what I use now. The 11" size. Works great for storage, and also to pad/protect the pistol while in my range bag.

Those Victories don't fit well into standard "small" sized pistol lock boxes either. It was a struggle, but I did manage to get mine packed in there for my last plane trip!

My Victory goes to the range too much to be concerned about rust. The bag hangs from a hook in a closet. No space issues.
