SW22 Victory not ejecting

Welcome to the forum. Only S&W knows what percent of Victory pistols are returned for service on this issue, I'm guessing that it is relatively low, but certainly enough to get a lot of discussion on forums. I'm also guessing that test firing is no longer part of the production process on these pistols anymore, that part of the process is left up to us.

Having the consumer perform the final quality check is either ignorant, arrogant or both.

SW22 Victory ejection problem fixed!

Thanks to all of you for your help with this problem! I just bought an SW22 Victory today (early x-mas gift) and was lucky to fire two rounds without it jamming. I cleaned and oiled it several times, and tried several types of ammo including my most expensive high-velocity CCI. I was very frustrated to have a brand new gun acting this way, even with high quality ammo.

The pictures and description in Post #30 of this thread helped me fix the ejection issue. Now it fires perfectly, every time, even on the cheap ammo! IF you are having an ejection issue with your SW22 Victory, I highly recommend looking to post #30 to see the photos that describe how to fix the problem.

It was easy to do and saved a ton of time compared to sending it back to S&W. So, THANK YOU!!!!!!!

I know this is an old thread - I don't know how it made its way back to the top without a current post but oh well...

Anyway, I'm about to order a Performance Center Victory with a six-inch barrel and muzzle brake (SKU #12079) so when the December issue of American Gunsmith arrived the other day and I found it included an article entitled, "Smith & Wesson Victory Fixes," I hung onto it. It is three pages of photos and tips for improving the operation of the gun. It might save some of us from returning our guns to Smith & Wesson.
