Went into a local Pawn Store yesterday to look at some guns. This store at one time had a great selection of pistols, rifles, and shotguns. But the store has changed owners. When I walked in the store the workers were the same as from the old owner. Not as many guns, about half of what there used to be. Not much of anything else. Then I saw it, a used SW40VE with one mag. I asked the salesman to look at it, thinking that the price would be low and I might buy it. When he handed the gun to me I almost dropped it. The price was $599.99. I asked "where is the gold", because for that price there should have been some somewhere. They also had an old penned barrel S&W model 10 with about 80% bluing for $299.99. They told me they would take $240.00 out the door for the model 10.

$600 for a $350 gun (new) is ridiculous. Time to move on to a different shop.

And here I thought $320 for the used SD9VE that I saw locally in a pawn shop was over priced....

Mine was BNIB with 3 mags and a uncle mikes slip-on for $289 out the door

True Ive seen 3rd hand kimbers for 50+ dollars more, should of smile and asked if he wanted your first born child and just walked out
I walked in a pawn shop once and saw a sw40ve....for 430 dollars.I immediately left without looking at anything else and I'll never go back.actually i should have tried to sell my sw9ve for 300 and if they didnt like that price then id be like "but this one is priced at 430...you'll still be making a 130 profit off mine".

gunshop A in my town had a sd40ve for $475.... for that price id buy an m&p. gunshop b which i got mine from was $329 out the door with a box of ammo

That pawn shop owner has interesting pricing policies.

I paid $390 for my SD40. But it came with Apex trigger kit installed, 3 magazines, a holster, 100rd box of Remington hollowpoints and a 20rd box of Federal Hydrashocks. I have bought SW40VE and SW9VE from a pawnshop for $225 each out the door.

Wow i wouldve slapped those sw's up also for 225 each, my SD9VE with a few things was $64 more...that would of been a great combo

I stopped going to pawn shops. Their prices are so out of range and reason that it just upsets me. I've seen used Tauruses for double than what they are new. Pawn shops are shooting themselves in the balls and driving customers away. Go to the Academy or Grabagun for reasonably priced firearms.
