If anyone that has one of these and have tricked them out with accessories; please show and tell your weapon. I can’t find a lot of parts for this gun anyway but I need a build to go off of.

What do you want to know about it? How do you want to "TRICK" it out?

I know the SW models have a proprietary rail under the barrel so you need an adaptor if you want tricks that work with a Picatinny rail. The changed this with the SD models.

I had bad luck with an aftermarket recoil spring. It was a steel ISMI and I believe a tad too long. It ended up breaking the frame. S&W sent me a new frame and I left it alone. I did try an aftermarket trigger shoe from Apex, but it failed to release the striker.

I did install a rail adapter from Amazon and attached a Baldr mini RL for nightstand use.

Model is the 40E.

Oh, and I swapped out the front sight (Tritium was very low) with a Truglo fiber optic. It's a tad shorter, which is good, since it alway shot low (I hold at 6 O'clock).

I have used the Sigmas for loaners and trainers for over 20 years and found them to be reliable and sturdy in stock form. I tried every non-destructive modification and aftermarket product for them, and it is with considerable knowledge and experience that I recommend you choose another gun to trick out, and don't waste your money on an SW40VE, or any other "SW". The SD has a vastly improved trigger, and a few useful accessories.
If you can afford to start with a used M&P pistol, the sky is the limit on mods and gadgets, including many internal improvements.

I had both, SW9VE and SW40VE. Like OKFC05 stated, I too threw every mod at them. Eventually, I just sold them.
You would be better off Googling "LE TRADE INS" and buy one of them. Or, like I did. I bought 5 LE trade in M&P's.

The only aftermarket accessories I have on my SW40VE are minimalistic and wouldn't even be noticeable unless I deliberately angled the shot so that they were visible.

I replaced the front sight post with a Meprolight Tru-Dot Tritium Night Sight and I replaced the striker plate with one from NDZ Performance engraved with my favorite Bible Verse.

That being said, if there were more aftermarket accessories available such as a threaded barrel, then I would have added one of those too, but unfortunately nobody has ever made any aftermarket threaded barrels for the .40cal Sigmas.

I’ve had a 40VE for years. Just have to take them for what they are. Not a target pistol. Sights are ok trigger takes some getting used to. Upside is that it is very reliable. If you have a problem just clean it.

There was a laser designed for the Sigma SW40VE (& the 9mm) from ArmaLaser called the Stingray, it fit the non-Pickatinny rail. There were night sights as well. Trigger kits from Apex and a Hogue Handall grip on mine.

My SW40VE was our 1st S&W semi-automatic pistol and has reliably performed admirably for over a decade.

I would have to dig out my old paperwork to see when I actually purchased my 40ve, but it did come new in the box with a green laser that really works well and fits well on the gun. I'm curious now as to the brand of the laser on mine...it came from S&W with it on the gun.

I dug out the plastic case with papers, just cause I was curious and wanted to refresh my memory. It is a Laserlyte with S&W Sigma adapter.
