Are there any problems or functional issues that I could create if I were to swap the cylinders on two 27-2's?
Both pistols are currently working fine.
Thanks

I guess I would have to ask why swap cylinders if they are working properly?

Why are you looking to swap?

Cylinders, especially on the older revolvers, are hand fit and often as not aren't direct swaps or drop in.

You can try a direct swap, though, but will need to perform all the important function checks and spec measurements. Even then, it may not play well under live fire.

Better bet is to swap all the internals from the old cylinder into the one you're swapping in to have the least likelihood of fit issues, but it isn't guaranteed, either and you still need to perform critical function and spec checks here too.

If it's truly necessary, a qualified revolversmith is your best bet of all.

Thanks

Appreciate the advice you guys. I'd consider the swap for form not function. If I make the swap I'll have a pistol smith check and adjust for me.
