There were 2 very nice 5 screw pre 29s with cases and a Reg Mag that just sold on the big Site. I was bidding earlier but decided to watch as I am en route to the States this AM from the UK (as in I leave for airport in an hour) and decided not to get to trigger happy yet. I've been over seas awhile and I have an itch to scratch. Anyway they sure were nice guns. Some folks are happy tonight if not a little poorer in cash!

Been wondering about how you are doing. Coming home for Christmas?? Hope so, let me know when you get home. Hope you have a safe flight, I was watching some of Woodlawn's auctions that closed tonite. Larry

What did it go for???????

The RM sold for a little over $4,000. It was a late 40s factory refinish. Believe it had certificate also and was lettered.

The certificate was one of the reproduction certificates offered by the S&WHF. A nice, but not valuable addition to the package.

MBliss .......... welcome home.........visit or returning home?

Just a visit this time. I'll be in Ohio until the 3rd then Florida at my father in laws until the 7th. The Reg magnum was what was said above. Both pre-29 5 screws were around $4K. The one went for $3.9K and the 2nd was about $4.2K I believe. I actually thought the one at $3.9 was the nicer of the 2 if you can really put a value a gun of that vintage and quality separated by $300. That was the one I was bidding on.

A Pre-29 five screw .44 magnum is something I will always dream about owning ..........in 1976 I gave my Uncle 300$ to find me a nice one ......he never did and I ended up getting the 300$ back to spend on my first wife .
Oh for the testosterone of a young ,foolish man ..........
