jrin, any chance of a little commentary?
Yes fits way better in my hand better than the g26. Looks a whole lot better than the glock . Will report on range results .

I love the M&P9c also. It has become my primary EDC. A very versitile pistol with excellent ergonomics. Easy to conceal with good capacity.

I've owned a lot from sig p238 to 1911 and this is my favorite so far . Don't like thumb safety though . Is there away to remove it ?

I've tried Glock several times, but was always too large for my hands. Tried a Shield and liked it but was too thin! Got the M&P 9C and love it with the small back strap!!! :D

I'll bet you like the grip on your M&P better. I had a Glock 23 & 21 which I carried on duty when I worked armed security & I gave to my son when I retired before we had a concealed carry law. I loved those guns & shot them both well. When WI got a concealed carry law 2 years ago my son recommended an M&P40C to carry. He carries a FS M&P40 as an LEO & found that they were just as good as his Glocks (which he still carries off duty) & the grip made them better. I'm a believer.

I don't think someone can go too wrong with either M&P or Glock as far as reliability & plain ruggedness goes but my choice would be M&P every time.

It's easy to remove, it just lifts right out. You can even get plugs from S&W to fill the holes after you remove it.

awesome thanks don't they make a tool so you can put it on safety without an actual safety

I love the grip its 100 times better not big fat and chunky like the glock even though the mpc is heavier it feels lighter.

I rented a G27 and found I did not like where the hump near the bottom of the grip directed the recoil in to my hand. For me that was right around where my thumb attaches to the hand.

Like you I found the MP40c was a much better fit in my hand and the grip while slightly taller than the G27, it's less block like radius makes it easy to conceal.

I have to say my favorite gun is the M&P9C. Extremely accurate, fast out of the holster, and easy to conceal.. at least mine is.

Just note that what ever size grip your using, I would up it one even though it might be slightly less comfortable. The medium fit great in my hand.. I read about how some people shot better replacing the back grip with a larger size.. and I found it was true for me too.

Also if you haven't done it already.. get a APEX kit for it. I got the duty kit and the RAM. Trigger is not pretty awesome with the duty kit. The RAM I thought was optional at the time.. Mine had a excellent reset click (when compared to my M&P9FS). I did the RAM anycase and wow.. that reset is remarkable.

Well my 2 cents

I'm slowly replacing Glocks with MPs thumb safety, 1911 guy, it all started after I bought the Shield, now have the .45 FS too. next on the list MP .40

I am in process of selling off most of my blocks even though I have learned to push the sights down from decades of firing them. I prefer the M&P line much more. A LGS has a NIB two barrel (one threaded) M&P 9mm for $645 that I keep thinking of but the price seems stout.
