Tactical pen?

I recently got into pen making. Don't know why, just got facinated with the beauty of them. As soon as I get a lot more supplies I may make some and post them for sale to members here. I do make the 30cal & 50Cal cartridge pens. They're great to make. And like one poster mentioned, no two are alike.

Seriously, I had not thought about the logical uses for a Tac pen- like where someone mentioned a female at college. I guess I've been armed so long.....
Do they take them away at the metal detectors at courthouses and/or bust you?
Can you fly with them?
Do any jurisdictions consider them weapons?

Lee, that's why I was interested. Lots of places I go frown upon my 640-1. I've got a knife or two on me at all times, but I've almost always got a pen, too. The one's I've been buying are plastic and wouldn't hold up, so a strong metal one might be in order. I don't want one that says "Smith&Wesson" or "Benchmade" so that they aren't obvious at security checkpoints. I would be interested to know if any jurisdictions consider a pen a weapon, though.
