Basically, we still have slaves in the east, and food and land is free - as long as we pay the farmers. The rest, I'm not so sure. I only went to high school, not higher education like her.

Many years ago...back in the late 70's and early 80's I worked for a major oil company that was doing geothermal exploration in northern California.
I would have to represent the company at Board of Supervisor's meetings and hearings as well as other regulatory hearings.
Most of my work took place in Lake and Sonoma counties. Sometimes I would have projects even further north, up around Ukiah.
I have attended hearings and meetings in these places that were just like the video. I would be outnumbered sometimes 100 to 1 by members of the "counter culture", which were drugged out whack jobs that crawled out from under someone's porch and went to the hearings to speak their piece. (I could write a book on what I've seen these people do...in the public meeting place! HOLY TOLEDO JONES. GIMME A BREAK!)
I would always get what I needed in the end, however, sometimes we would go for multiple days listening to people like this.
It appears they didn't all go away? They are still around!

I need a whole bottle of aspirin after viewing that!!! It made by brain hurt just to sit here and view. I bet her brain ached after saying all that dribble.
Oh, wait. She doesn't have a brain. And if medical research proves that she does have one I'll bet that it was transplanted in the fashion of "Young Frankenstein", from a donor named "Abbey Normal".

I was just involved in a public information meeting for a timber sale I am overseeing on town owned land. I was hired by the town to make the sale happen. Anyway, this one woman asked me what we were going to do about all the branches that are left on the ground from the cutting. I told her that the contract requirements stated that all of the slash had to be whittled down as close to ground level as was possible so as to make the slash decompose that much quicker. She looked at me with fear in her eyes and said if you leave those branches lying on the ground like that the deer will break their ankles on it. She was dead serious.
I told her if she wanted to help the situation she was welcome to go in after we were done and pile all that slash in piles and that by doing so she would be helping wildlife habitat in that area. How so, she asks. Well, I said, brush piles are great habitat for mice, rabbit and snakes and such and the owls and hawks just love to perch on a tree above these piles and wait for dinner. She didn't really like that suggestion either.

Pod-people. I'm sure that the CA Dept.of Education and the NEA are quite proud. A concerned and politically active citizen. Sort of makes you want to raise the voting age to 45, doesn't it?

I think I feel stupider after watching that. From what little made sense there, apparently the east coast believes in slavery (I must have been away for too long), It is free to grow food (I must not have talked to a farmer recently to catch that update), and ummm, ahh, well thats about all I got from that. I'm going to go bang my head against a door now, as it is more pleasant and educational than that video.
