I spent a little time working on the sear in my M&P 9C. All I can say is WOW. A little filing, stoning and polishing sure makes a difference. I'm sure it would be even better if I polished the trigger block but I don't have a proper sight pusher so I believe I will leave that alone. The trigger is now down around 5# with shorter trigger travel. I'm not really sure I want to do more to my EDC. I certainly won't knock the good folks at Apex but if you are half way handy with tools and follow Mr. Burwell's instructions you can fix your own gun. There's something special about fixing it yourself without aftermarket parts.

Mine came off easily with just a few light taps, didn't need a pusher. Rounded and polished the block, also polished burrs on the arm contact point where it pushes the block. The roughness in the take up went away, well worth the extra work to pop off the rear sight. Just be careful with the little spring under there.

I believe I will leave mine as it is. It is absolutely smooth with no grittiness and I don't want the trigger pull any lighter for an EDC. I will measure it again but I suspect it is under 5#.
