The 12 Revolvers

Pics please! Come on, you can't tease us with a post like that an NOT post pics brother!!!

Haha - they are all boxed up and put away safely. They look exactly like this though. I have little interest in these and definitely want to sell. Did some trade-out work on a hot rod for a guy. He inherited them after his father passed a few years ago (original owner). Someone buy them.

Nobody actually thinks of these as collectibles. I bought the "Hostiles" for a lot less than a comparable 29-5 would have cost. The guy even had the nerve to shake me down for an extra $5 for the rug he had it in. Box and any accoutrements were long gone. Joe

How much then? I sold for one of the 12 Revolvers for $1000

Most are interesting guns, if you are looking at the specs only. Otherwise, the laser etching is hideous and overdone.... IMO :(

Cut S&W a little slack!
They had contracted with the 6 yr old son of one of the foremen who is real good with stick figures to do the engraving, but the legal team was worried about child labor issues. So, they plied the kid with ice cream and tried to get him to do the drawings for free, but he balked (after eating the ice cream).......;)
So, They hurriedly trained one of the custodial staff to run the laser, and here we are. :D

I always thought the 12-gun set was quite a gimmick and intended for hardcore niche S&W collectors with very deep pockets. I would never buy one of these guns, preferring instead to buy the unadulterated version. YMMV.

One of my favorite shooters is a "Through The Line" 24-4 44 Special. I gave the forcing cone the 11 degree tune and it likes full wadcutters very much,

I would have to buy a set of 12 at a deeply reduced discount paying no premium for the set. The only way to protect yourself is the ability to sell each example as a stand alone offering. I doubt you will find any buyers for the set, and if you boil them, they will never get soft enough to eat.

That set seems pretty incongruous for a "Commemorative" set. I mean come on - if you were collecting S&W revolvers you would collect the ones you like with factory engraving in the barrel lengths that you want.
