Bring back the Model 63 of 1977 22 stainless J frame kit guns in 4" and 2". These guns are in high demand and the current 5" gun is terrible.

I have a 4" model 63 and I sure would a 2" to go with it.

I'd like to see a stainless steel J-frame in .22 Long Rifle, and a companion piece in .22 Magnum.
Adjustable sights.
3-inch barrel
Round butt, with rubber grips.
This would be a wonderful survival gun.
Macho posturing aside, if you have to live off the land for a few days or weeks, small game will constitute most of what you'll encounter and eat.
With the .22, you can also carry many more cartridges for the same weight.
The revolver is better than a semi-auto as a survival firearm, because there is no magazine to lose or become damaged.
The revolver is complete and utterly reliable, though reliability is perhaps not as crucial in a survival gun as it is a defensive gun.
A 3" stainless steel J-frame with adjustable sights in .22 LR would be about perfect.

Almost forgot, in my above post!
Add a lanyard ring in the butt, so you can secure it to yourself.
I'd like to see a lanyard ring that fits flush into the butt, out of the way when you don't want it, but flipped out when you do want it.
This would make an excellent feature on many guns intended for outdoor use.
Where would you use a lanyard?
I'd use it while rafting, crossing streams, climbing obstacles and so on.
A light, nylon cord with snap would make a good lanyard.

What is wrong with the 5 inch Kit Gun?

It has a lock and because it does, the frame is mis-shaped, plus no target hammer. I'll take the barrel with the shroud on it, cut to 4" and install on my '63. Now there's a kit gun!

A model 63 in 6" barrel like the very hard to find model 35

There's currently an excellent Mod 35-1 on an auction site closing Tuesday. E-mail me for a link or auction site name.

I thought some of the 63's had 3 1/2" Bbl. Len. or was that the .22 Mag. model 51?

Regardless, I'd like a 63 with a Bbl.
the same len. as my Model 60 3" Bbl. .357 Mag.

3 1/2" barrels came on early Airweight Mod 43s and Mag Mod 51s. M 651s came with 4" with some 651s from Lou Horton w/2" barrels.
