The new stocks look great on your 686! I agree with muddocktor, they look elegant. Nice pictures too. I think Claro has the prettiest color of all the Walnuts, especially when it varies and it can have an interesting mix of figure like this set as well. Enjoy the new grips and thank you for sharing!
 
I'm a big fan of John too, I just ordered a set of targets for my 625-1. Getting French Walnut this time. Those on your 686 are really beautiful, Only John does work like that!

Unlike some, I love the finger groove Combats, especially Culina's. I'm lucky I have three sets, 1 I picked up on this site and 2 new sets direct from John. Great people! Beautiful craftsmanship! Works of art.
