The Doc called me back. July 8 final!

Kinda like getting a phone message Friday afternoon from the disciplinary counsel of the bar association asking you to call back first thing Monday morning :(
I'm rooting for you Jim
At least that would give the concerned attorney an opportunity to pack the loot and book a flight to Rio :D

On the Bright Side he didn't say
"Head to the ER" or "Call an Ambulance"

I've actually been told that over the phone when my blood results got back to the doc. They said "NOW !!" By the time I got to the ER, my levels had dropped from off of the charts to only slightly above normal. I was embarrassed by the whole thing and I think my doctor was too.:o

Jim, I've got a good feeling about this. At any rate, it's no step for a stepper, you got this. Now, call the Dr. next Friday and tell him you need to talk to him Monday about the check you wrote him for the deductible, let him worry over the weekend!

I'm going with the "he's just amazed that anybody my age can be so healthy, "there's gotta be something wrong with this guy." " :D

I get my blood drawn and 30 minutes later I'm sitting across from my doctor and he's going over the results with me.

Biopsy results take less than 24 hrs.

Radiologist brain MRI and ct-scans from my neck down to my abdomen results in less than 18 hrs. My doctors can see them within 30 minutes even if they're done across town.

It kills me that people have to wait soo long for theirs and a phone call like that on a Friday would be unacceptable for me.

Good luck.

Some curiosity from the lab, so they're continuing to try and pinpoint some enzyme oddity. Some connection with mild neuropathy in my feets.
More will be revealed after Independence Day break.
The doctor raised his eyebrows after he asked "have you been in any third world countries?" and I started off on the list by saying "you mean third world continents, don't you? 'cause half of those third world countries don't exist anymore.":o

I didn't mention the Alien abduction thing.....:D

I'm glad it wasn't more serious.

Sounds like the phone call could have waited til Monday and had more blood drawn on Tuesday.

Mr. TexMex, I'm sure you're O.K.. I have an honorary doctor badge. I also have not so mild neuropathy.
I go to the same hospital for all tests, blood work, "procedures", operations, etc.. The hospital provides a very comprehensive result of all the aforementioned via an on line service that is sent to my email as soon as the test is complete. The good is I know when results are available to my croaker. The bad is the tests are only available in "doctor" language. So I can take the individual components of say: a blood test; and google the acceptable levels of said component. Fun indeed for a hypochondriac old fart.
