I too can only "Like" your post based on your courage and inspirational upbeat tone. We've all pretty much known from the time we can walk and talk that "we have but one life to give". But being young tends to put it waaaay back in your mind somewhere, and another voice says, "that's for other people, I'm going to live to be 100 and die in my own bed surrounded by friends and family that love me."
Then you get to your 60's and start noticing most of the older folks in your life have been slowly disappearing. Then it's folks your age and younger that are getting sick and passing.
Then a day comes that you hear that you yourself are facing a chance that you may not live to be 100. And many of your family and friends are not even still around. And reality sinks in, you're not invincible after all.
I went through something similar almost 10 years ago, and am on borrowed time now as they say. I've got friends close to me now that are facing their own immortality. So I know it takes courage to do what you're doing, and to be still keeping it on the light side. I commend you sir.
I am inspired to try hard to follow your lead, should I get the news you are faced with now. To be strong, and brave, and keep those loved ones around you comforted by your good spirits. I pray that you are right with your maker, and that your family gathers strength from your courage. God Bless you and your family.
