The guilty dog...

I have 2 small dogs. On is a cairn terrier and it barks a lot when it wants to go outside. My other dog a mix, will growl softly when she wants to go out. If I ignore the barking dog, the other one will show up and ask nicely. If one of the dogs is outside and wants to come in, the other dog will come get me and bug me until I let the other one in. I do believe that they can communicate.

If one poops in the house, it acts guilty and hides under a futon. I can usually tell which one did the deed.

It's not infallible. We came home one night to find the kitchen garbage all over the floor. thee was a sardine can in there. I began to berate our younger dog, male, who is the usual culprit in most bad doings. When his mother came to see what we were doing to her son, guess who had the fishy whiskers? So I gave him a dog biscuit and berated her.

My Cattle Dog is usually the creator of michief while the wife's GSD is Miss Perfect... Usually.

Came out of the garage one day & found Miss Perfect shoulder deep in the kitchen trash can! One night I heard the unmistakable sound of the kitchen trash going over. HAD to be my Heeler Monster... except that Dingo was sitting next to me.:D

Here is Lucy, our diabetic foster dog on her FIRST day with us! The bag o' beans was in the top shelf of a rack on TOP of a counter. She had to do some serious counter surfing to get to it.
