Second, to Forum Staff: Thank you for jumping on that grossly offensive post. My only regret is that you gave the poster a warning rather than the summary expulsion I believe he deserved.

Third, to Moses: I'll tell you straight up that your little joke was spectacularly off target. The victor in the Presidential election was not my first choice for the position, but he is the victor and in 10 days he will be the President -- and he gets respect by virtue of the office to which he was elected.

Oh brother, some of you guys

We'll see how "offended" all of you are when the man bans all that we love, as he further erodes the constitution of this country. Weakens our national defense etc, etc. Respect is something that is earned sir, it's not something that is doled out just because of ones office, period.

I'm pretty sure no one is jumping to the defense of our President Elect's political stance. I think that the racial slur is what people find objectionable. That's the case with me, anyway. Again... decourm.

Slim,

I really prefer the look of wood on a handgun, but for a shooter, style is far outweighed by how well the gun fits your hand. Form follows function. If Pachmayrs work best for you then that's the right decision for you.

However, if you wanted to try wood grips and still get a good fit, you might want to try a Tyler T-Grip adapter. They won't grow the backstrap, but they help. I have used on on my model 66 (no dash) and they really help fill up the area behind the trigger guard. If you're not sure what they are, do a search and you'll find plenty of information here.

Again, NICE GUN! I've seriously considered on more than one occasion breaking my self-imposed no-lock ban to buy that gun. There's just something about a nickel-plated, fixed-sight, big-bore N-frame that speaks to me on a primal level!!!

Things are going downhill so fast that gun control issues will wait a long time for attention. I'm not worried--the Constitution has been the glory of this nation for a long time, regardless of politicians, who so often leave office smelling worse than when they arrived. But we're all in this boat together, and the messy birth of the future will be for all of us to assist.

Nothing everything is going downhill. Gas just went up $0.12 a Gallon nationwide.
