The Model 66 is Back!

It looks nice! I may have to consider one of these. I wish I would have never gotten rid of my M-19.
I was glad the gun shop had the 66-6 in the used case to compare the new one to. The heavy pipe of a barrel on the 66-6 had really huge, ugly, slightly off level stampings on both sides.
The new 66 is definitely finished better and has a better stock rubber grip. If I didn't have a 4 inch 66, the new one would be worth a look.

Model 66-8 bought last week

I love the gun but the trigger is gritty and not like my older 1970 combat masterpiece K15-3 or my 686plus. The K15 is really smooth and the 686plus is also smooth but not quite like the K15. The Model 66-8 Combat .357 seems to be much harder to pull the trigger pull. I have snap caps and I also oiled the underside of the trigger and cocked the hammer and dropped some oil there. Now dry firing it and hope it gets smoother.

Anyone use the new version and noticed the trigger issue. Any solutions you can offer would be appreciated..

Thanks!!
