Raising a thread from the dead looking for new additions
My list-
kid rock-good guy. a friend works for him
Radiohead- nice guys very reserved
Dave aka chud from the misfits- great guy dedicated to his bandmates even when sick.
Tiger great al kaline- kind of a prick
Tiger great and felon Denny McClain- nice guy
Proof-rapper and eminems best friend (future in the movie 8mile was based on him) he was an awesome guy we had a few decent conversations. Various other rock stars and rappers usually the newer their fame is the nicer they are with a few exceptions.

Back around 1964/1965 I worked for universal movie studios as a studio cop. I met a lot of famous actors, and probley many more I didnt reconise as up to then I was brought up in a religious family that movie going was considered sinfull! I did meet james stewart, james arness, brian keith, maureen ohara, orson wells, marlin brando, broderick crawford, jack palance, clint walker, heady lamar, etc. Also I knew a lot of bit actors and had at least 5 or 6 close friends that were/are.
After working as a lockheed guard for 35 years I probley met or knew just about most of the test pilots that were around from 1965 up. Also famous AF pilots. Gary powers, tony levier, fish salmon, General wier, saw jimmy doolittle, maybe charles linburg and howard hughs icongneto and in disguises visiting lockheed when I first started, seen but didnt meet president reagan, hubert humphrey, senator mc carthy when I was a boy, (man did I hear him give a radical speech on a street corner. Think he was right too! I worked with a retired FBI agent that was assigned to investigate the movie stars for him in those days too.)
Also knew a couple old time wrestlers and boxers.
I often wondered how many people we have rubbed shoulders with that if were pointed out we should know? As Dr. Phil would say, for every rat you see, there is 50 that you didnt!

I've met a variety of politicians and a few well-known bluegrass musicians, but the only meeting that really impressed me was with George H. W. Bush when we was VP. He was way more impressive in person than he ever was on TV.

I've met with Bill Clinton a number of times. Absolutely disagree with his politics, but he's a heck of a nice guy.

Also met Mike Huckaby several times, he's a stand up guy. He has a great sense of humor and a fun guy to be around.

Also met:

Sam Walton
Greg "Pappy" Boyington
Paul Tibbets
Roy Rogers
Barbara Mandrell
David Lee Roth
Edward G. Watkins III (I worked for him for several years. One of the richest men in Massachusetts.)

I got to meet Charlie Daniels and the band once on the side of US Highway 65 when I pulled over his tour bus for speeding. Didn't know it was him until he stepped off the bus as I was interviewing his driver as to why he was driving 80 in a 55.

You haven't met anyone famous until you've met Kevin Bacon. You can then play "Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon" and win it in one step.

Ferdinan Marcos (while President of the Philippines), Ronald Regan while campaigning for President, and Joe Foss (Ace Marine Pilot WWII/Governor of South Dakota. Whoops almost forgot Gov. George Wallace.

Pinkas Zukerman, Mistislav Rostropovitch, Maurice Andrea, Nathan Milstein, Barry Tuckwell. Can You tell I am a classically trained Musician?

I list them all as they are about the same rank of musician and it would be hard to pick one.

Dwight

Ted Koppel and John Glenn (not at the same time but basically in the same place).

Phil Hill (the only American to be World Formula 1 champion), Sterling Moss, Denny Hulme, Jackie Stewart, Juan Manuel Fangio, Froilan Gonzalez, Carrol Shelby, Dan Gurney, Bunny Ribbs and his son Willy T., and other famous drivers whose names escape me at this time. Barry McGuire (Eve of Destruction), Cass Elliott, and some other people in the music field. I've met most of the actors in "CSI". Jorja Fox is an incredible young woman, George Eads is a shooter like us, Gary Dourdan is very intelligent, very nice, although he has made some bad decisions in his life. My girlfriend and I had breakfast with David Berman once. Also, OJ Simpson and Al Cowlings; I played against them in college.

I also had an intimate relationship with a certain adult film star who once appeared on "Married With Children". She shall remain nameless. I have pictures of us together. One picture that was taken of us at a party would definitely not be appropriate to be shown on this forum. We still exchange emails and occasionally see each other.
