I met Tom Landry back in '93.

You meet some people and can tell right off the bat they have their stuff together. Tom was such a man.

Class, intelligence , humility, I was highly impressed with his character.

Red Skelton
Paul Bryant
Lee Ermey (he wasn't quite so famous then) and GySgt Carlos Hathcock at the division matches when I was a rooty poo Cpl on the 2nd Division Pistol Team. Still refuse to wash the hand Gunny Hathcock shook.

Back about 1964 I got to meet my boyhood hero - Stirling Moss - who I still consider to be the best racing driver ever (but Dale Earnhart was a close second). Chatted with him for a half hour or so and he autographed a photo for me. A few years after that I spent a day with Gregory Peck. I was doing some work for a charity and he was in town to do promotional appearances. They needed somebody to chauffeur him around for the day and I volunteered. Met him at the airport and was with him the whole day. I remember him being a very soft-spoken gentle man. Some time after that I ran into Red Skelton - literally ran into him. I was going into the FAO Schwartz store in San Francisco and he was coming out carrying an armload of packages and we collided. I helped him pick them up and we were both kind of laughing about it but I didn't realize who he was until I'd taken a few steps and then it hit me - That was Red Skelton!

Geo. Bush several times, The Hunt brothers (Ray, Bunker & Nelson), Red Adair (oilfield guy) & Mikhail Kalashnikov but was most impressed with Jack Schmidt (?), first geologist to go to the moon. Spent a weekend at a flyfishing resort once while he was there & he gave a presentation. A very interesting guy.
Professional athletes, entertainers & politicians hold no interest for me. I wouldn't cross the street for one but that's just me.

Mike Walker. I use to shoot bench rest with him. Puts all the ones listed in prior post to shame. He was a GUN MAN!
Homer Culver. Ferrell Pendelis. Jeff Cooper. Jim Carmichael. Ed Shilling, P J Hart.
Dam, do none of you guys know an gun people?

Michael Jordan, twice. First - he and his buddy played through us at Shadow Creek in Vegas, in the process we played a couple holes together. He was a little evasive up front, but after the first green we were on together then he was very nice and talkative. The next hole and a half was really interesting, we talked college basketball a little bit, and we caught up with him afterwards where he continued to be warm and even signed a couple items. This was about 6-7 years ago.
Then caught up with him again a couple years ago in Louisville at the Ryder Cup, he was the exact same way. Not very interested at the intro, but after talking about our golf/Vegas encounter he warmed up again.
Basically, he is just the freakin man - and he's cool as they come, just as you would imagine.

Kitty Wells. We lived around the corner from them when I was growing up. Her son Bobby and I played together some. In more recent times I met Hickok 45 at a gun show. Nice guy. Don
