I love the look of it and I do want one, but $1400 MSRP...Ouch.

I mean, it looks great, but a Henry All Weather or a Rossi R92 Rio Grande costs a lot less.

Maybe I can get my 1894 CSBL in .357 in less than two years since I ordered it! Hardcore traditionalists will disagree, but I have stuff waiting in office to change the fore end, add a light, an RDS and a sling.

As for suppressed rifles, I've never seen a more silent gun than a 10-22 with a built in suppressor. The three sounds you could hear were the bullet striking a steel target, the action, and the brass hitting the cement grounds of the range we were at. I can't imagine a quieter rifle but I'll talk to my FFL about threading the barrel of mine - sounds like a fun project and then that would give me something I would need and want - a .45-70 suppressor!

My bolt action .22 is a lot quieter than my 10/22 when shooting suppressed. That action makes quite a bit of noise. A lever, bolt, or single shot makes the quietest suppressor host precisly because you can separate the sound of the action from the shot. I would love to be able to put my suppressor on my 1894CS in .357, but the gun is too nice to make the necessary mods.

I'm happy to see Marlin lever guns return to market. Not surprised at the cost given the current state of things.

Like it but would want a stainless 1894 in 45colt. Nice rifle but stop laying beautiful guns in gravel, rocks, bricks etc to photograph, you wouldn't ask Scarlet Johansson to lay on rocks for a photo.
