I don't think most of the "JM purist" will complain if Ruger makes them like they do the other guns they make. The Remlin's were not quality at all. Even the last couple of years when they were better they were sending out new guns with problems that should have been notice and fixed before they went to the dealers. I don't believe Ruger will do that. Being a member of Marlinowners I can tell you that most if not all over there are excited about the new ones being released.
Good deal, Ruger/Marlin certainly has a grand opportunity if they'll deliver the quality we know they can.
I didn't get all caught up in the Remlin issue, but I have a JM marked 1977 336C and a 2018 Remlin 336Y and they're both fit as a fiddle, no complaints about the Remlin at all.
I suspect Ruger has a .357 version in the works, I'm wanting to eventually snag one of them.
