It's that time of the year once again! Christmas Day! 'Tis the Season for to spread good cheer and make merry with friends, family, and even perfect strangers.
So in the true spirit of the season, we show off all of the gifts we have received, share all the cherished things that we are most grateful for, which includes holiday memories in the making, precious moments that we have shared with out family on this most blessed occasion, and of course the heartfelt gifts we have received from our loved ones too.
Being that I am the host of this thread, I will kick off the festivities by sharing my own Yuletide treasures with all of my friends here whom I unfortunately cannot gather round with in person.
So I got a bit of a late start this morning as I allowed myself to sleep in for a bit, ate a breakfast consisting of mostly sweets, then got ready to go down to meet my parents and exchange gifts. As it turns out, they had a late start as well, because they hadn't even finished wrapping gifts when I called, so I ended up watching A Christmas Story on Television with my brother before we gathered.
Once we had arrived, we found that mom and dad had outdone themselves this year and gotten us both many fine gifts.
I had received many lovely things including:
So after I got the Buck 110 unwrapped I set down and started working the action in order to smooth it out for easier deployment as it was a bit stiff out of the box. As I do so, I'm helping my brother to setup an Xbox Series S Console I got him for Christmas, and the knife ends up snapping shut on my middle finger, slicing it open just below the first knuckle, to which I exclaim "Ouch!" My brother looks over and I just look at him and say; "Yeah, I just closed the knife on my finger..."
So I got up and took care of it. The blade left a deep cut on my finger, but I was able tp stop the bleeding and get it bandaged up with the help of my mother. As she's helping me, she jokes with my father who had sat down to eat lunch by quoting a line from A Christmas Story in which Ralphie "shot his eye out" by having a ricocheted BB knock off his glasses, in which Ralpie's mother tells his father that everything is fine and to just keep reading the paper as they pass him in the living room and he asks what happened. I couldn't help but see the irony in the situation and took this pic on my phone afterwards...
This is the stuff good Christmas stories are made of, so embarrassing as it is, I just had to share it with you all. I hope that you all enjoyed it and won't ridicule/reprimand me too harshly over it.
Merry Christmas, Everyone! I can't wait to hear about what you all got for Christmas and hear some charming stories of your own!

I had received many lovely things including:
- Amazon Fire HD8 Plus Tablet
I really needed a new Tablet as the one I was using was a 2016 Amazon Fire 7 which had gotten old and just wasn't as fast or reliable as it used to be. I use Tablets quite frequently, more often that I do a Desktop Computer because it's just plain more relaxed/convenient. If fact, everything I have ever posted here was typed from a tablet. So you can imagine just how useful a new tablet is to me. - Ferrero Rocher Chocolates
An old favorite of mine. I got a box of these as a gift many years ago and ended up loving them so much that they've become something of a traditional gift for me which I receive a box of every year from my parents. - A Tin of Butter Cookies
Yet anoter tradition Christmas Gift which I have been receiving each year since I was just a boy from my parents. It's just a simple treat which I enjoy and the tins come in handy too. - An Oreo House Kit
Recently I had asked my mom if she had seen Gingerbread anywhere, because I couldn't find any in stores, which puzzled me. She couldn't find any either, so she got me this instead. I don't know anything about making Gingerbread Houses, so it's going to be interesting trying to assemble this thing myself. - Betsy Ann Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Are we beginning to see a pattern emerging here? Yes, I love sweets. I don't eat them in excess, but I always have them on hand and enjoy them regularly. Hey, I'm Celibate... Where else am I going to get some sweetness in my life? - A Dolly Parton Coffee Mug
No, she's not on it or anything, it's just a mug with a plaid pattern on it, but apparently she has her own brand of Coffee Mugs now because the tag had her portrait and signature printed on it. I love Dolly Parton, so this is an amusing gift. - A Christmas Story T-Shirt
A Christmas Story has always been one of my favorite Christmas Movies, so it's funny to receive a T-Shirt of the film. The Shirt features the face of the main character Ralphie Parker with a shocked expression and a cracked lens on his glasses with the caption; "You'll shoot your eye out, kid!" a line from the film made by multiple characters in reaction to Ralphie's request for a Red Ryder BB Gun. This gets even funnier later on, stay tuned for a story... - Buck 639 Fieldmate
This is a knife that I have wanted for some time now and had actually intended to buy for myself, but I lacked the money due to so, and my parents offered to pay for one as a Christmas Gift if I could find one. They're quite rare since they were only in production from about 1986 to 1994, but can still be had for prices which aren't too insane. I'm thrilled to receive this gift in particular because it is essentially my Grail Knife. - Buck 110 Slim Pro
Last but not least comes a gift from my brother. He got me a Custom 110 for my birthday this year which I ended up loving so much that I began considering getting one that was lighter and more plain for EDC. Turns out that he got me one for Christmas, and it will be my next carry knife. But wait, there's a story to go with this knife...
