The oldest firearm you have

I'm not exactly sure. This one is from 1905:

But this .38 DA could be from the 1800s:

I have a couple of pocket pistols whose dates are unknown to me:

F&W

Yes, yes, it's broken so I had it powder coated just for fun. I wanted John Deere green but this was the only green he had.

H&R:

This broken Ithaca Fluid Steel could be from the 1890s:

Then I have a really nice flintlock rifle on the mantle above my fireplace. It could be very old, it could be a replica, it could be a parts gun, I have no idea.

Oldest gun that I own!

I have a model 73 Winchester in 44-40 cal, that was made in 1881 according to the letter from Winchester. It was originally owned by the Reading Coal & Iron Police. They sold these guns in the early 1930's and it was purchased from them, by my Uncle. I have shot it a few times and it works fine.

Winchester 1885 Low wall that dates to 1887.

Colt open top Pocket Model revolver 1871-1877. .22 short or long. 7 shot,
brass frame, 2 3/8 barrel,$8 new This is a second model w/o ejector rod 1874-77

These were Dad's "Bring Homes" from the station, guns dropped off by family. " This was my father's [Grandfather's]; I [Wife] don't want it in the house!" guns

Before 1968 it was a common occurrence in that Burb of the Burgh!

I have a Merwin Hulbert pocket model in .38M&H, probably 1880's, more of a looker than a shooter though.
Of the guns I have that I'd still consider safe to fire with low pressure loads, the oldest I have are an 1873 Winchester rifle from 1892 and a Marlin 1894 from 1898, both in .32WCF.

Mines a baby compared to all of the others but it's a 1945 M&P 6 in.It still shoots like a champ and I shoot it a lot.

Oldest rifle I own is a New York State Militia Remington rolling block 50-70, from the 1870s. The butt stock is stamp indicates that it belonged to the 65th NY Volunteer Regiment. Just last fall I bought an 1888 Model Springfield Trapdoor rifle, the type with the cleaning rod bayonet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it also went to the 65th. They were based in the Buffalo area and had a long career. Though called up for the Spanish American War, they were never sent overseas.

My oldest revolver is a 32-20 M&P that dates from first decade of the 1900s.

1st model 1896 hand ejector .32

I’ve had older…Like a 1878 Colt double bbl 10ga. Just don’t want unusable wall hangers laying about.

It's hard to compete with all these great firearms. My oldest is my grandfather's 1920 12 ga. Fox Sterlingworth that I rescued from a closet back in the 60's. It had probably been in that closet for close to 20 years and no one seemed to know it was there.

Oldest firearm I own is a 1932 Mosin-Nagant 91/30. Oldest shotgun is a Savage Fox Model B 20 gauge SxS, dates to 1950. Oldest semiauto is my Colt Model M (1944), oldest revolver is my S&W M58 (1968). In the grand scheme of firearm age, my firearms are pretty new.

My 1923 Ansley Fox AE 12 gauge. English stock, auto ejectors.

A Colt 1849 .31cal revolver made and lettered to 1861. I'd happily share a pic if this goofy website allowed me to attach pictures directly without having to use a third party photo hosting site.

OK, I'll play along. I have a few oldies but goodies to share...

Colt 1862 Pocket Police, .36 caliber, ca. 1866
Winchester 1973, .38-40 caliber, ca. 1891
Winchester 1876, .50-95 Express, ca. 1882
German Scheutzen rifle (rare bolt action), 8.15x46 or 9x47R (?), ca. 1890
Remington 1900, 12 ga., ca. 1904
