I rented this movie a couple of weeks ago and it keeps coming back to me. I bring it up as I know a number of us enjoy "westerns". This film takes place in 1880s Australia. It's a stark brutal story with no redemption. However the photography and acting are outstanding. The use of the landscape and photography is stunning. There are several scenes, especially at night, that as stills remind me of Frederic Remington's night paintings. The story line is haunting. If your local movie rental place has it give it a try, I thought it in a totally different class that the recent Apaloosa or 3:10 to Yuma. It gives Open Range and the Unforgiven a run for their money.
