Here is my 28-2 6".

It came with old Pachmayrs which I replaced with a new set of Ahrends Cocobolo stocks.

I have 28-2 4" est 1973. Has several k rounds through it, but looks new.
Ser # N15174*
My brother got from original owner,a TX DPS trooper/ sheriff dep.
My brother traded it at a pawn shop for a Llama 9mm & $20.
I went & bought from pawn shop for $210.

If my brother would've traded it to a pawn shop for a Llama and $20 after I bought it back from them I would've BEAT him with it for not offering to me first.... And trading it for a Llama.

Christmas came Early in my Household. Thanks to Haris1...Happy to bring this one in to my Home...Shoots like a Dream, Carries even Better. Bought a set of Combats for it recently..

Wow, oh wow Superpelly, that's extra neato and a super price. One day I will add my MOD 28 to this thread.
 
What would the difference in price be between a 28-2 with original grips and a 28-2 with (sorry for the non-technical term) grips with the speedloader cut-out? Both are 4".

The targets won't be numbered to the gun but may be factory original. The only way to know is either the original box or a letter. If it has magnas and the magnas number to the gun, the one with the magnas would be worth more to me.
 
I tried , but didn't make it thru the 29 pages of this thread - did anyone ever post a picture of the elusive Mod 28-1 ?
 
Mine are,

M28 no dash, serial #S 1909XX 1958/59 screw in trigger guard. 6" barrel, diamond on screw grip hole. Small grips.
M28-2 serial #S 2426XX. 1964/65 No screw in trigger guard, 6" barrel,
Diamond on orginal small grips screw hole.

My 28-2 4" Serial number N 858xx original diamond grips is in 95% condition.

It was in a pawn shop for a LONG time, they were happy to get rid of it. The price was... low.
