My new-to-me 1964 28-2. It's in immaculate condition and appears to have rarely been fired or carried.

Bill,
I would guess they're getting in short supply. I have several beauties! What do you want to talk about?

I paid $550 on Gunbroker for my 28-2 in excellent condition, if that helps any. I think it was a good price.
Mine does not have the factory grips, but it has nice rosewood magnas with brass medallions, and it also came with a set of Pachmayrs.
It also has the purplish color on the cylinder and barrel that was mentioned upthread. I was wondering if mine had the original bluing, but now I'm pretty sure it does.

Looks like a refinish to me.
Out of curiosity, what makes you say it looks like a refinish?
