My new 66-2

Hi all,

Well, the picture is nothing fancy, but I haven't had a lot of time for photos lately...

It is extremely clean, with very few rounds fired, and remarkably accurate for a 2.5" barrel. I am very pleased...and now I've found the exact right grips...

Take care,

JJ

My 19-3

Here are a couple of quick photos of my 19-3. It shipped May of 1970 and was fired very little. It came in the box with all the goodies still in there as well. I added the Elk grips recently from our very own Executioner. Excuse the pictures. I took these in bright sunlight.

I still have a large gap between the last 19-3 and the first 19-4 serial number so if you have any in the 12K ~ 23K range I'd like to see them here.

Ok, my turn to provide input for this shindig. Per some of the questions posed by snw19_357 to me earlier, the hand is a standard as opposed to free floating, and the crane screw does not have the ball, it is a straight screw.
What follows are a few pictures of the markings, internal lock work, and a few purely gratuitous photos.

I've tried both the Pachs and the Hogue Bantams and find both to be great. :)

James thats one pretty gun there and I do like those grips very much. Those dark grips are a good contrast to that nickle. Been looking for a set of those for awile now for my 19 snubbie but they are hard to find with the S&W badges. Happy shooting

Thanks,
Took these off my M-617 6" I didnt the feel of them for a target gun. But they are real nice on the M-19. They are Jim Badger Grips and come with or without medalions. Hope this helps

New to me 66-4 with 2 1/2" barrel. Odd ( I think ) serial number. BRS 40**. Doesn't seem to fit with info in SCSW. Any Ideas on when it was made ???
Will post pix ASAP.

Could anyone help me with a 66-1 2.5" serial number of 27K24XX? Date made or shipping? I have no books.
