The very long wait on CCW permit

I'm in TN and received my permit about 2 months ago. It took exactly 8 weeks. Tn permits are issued by the Dept of Safety. The literature says to not contact about permits for 60 days. However, I was told by the instructor of my carry class that times had been running about 3 weeks. Guy at fingerprinting said the same. Later, I found that there was just a big increase in the number of applications.

Finally! Received my home state of Delaware permit on Dec 31st and received my non resident Arizona permit about a month ago. The mail man will be happy he's no longer being stalked lol

Isn't Arizona cool..

You can carry open or conceiled without a permit. You can obtain a permit if you like but you don't need one. You don't have to be an AZ resident to get a permit. If you have a permit there is no NIC check, no wait period to purchase any gun.

SO what you are saying is that if i have a AZ CC permit, and i live in another state, i can drove to the nearest gun dealer in AZ and minutes later i can drive home with any firearm??

My vacation plans will change if that's true

No, not quite that.. The "purchase then transport across state lines" is a federal concept. But what you can do is come to AZ and carry open or conceiled, whether or not you're a resident and whether or not you have a CCW from some place else. With the usual exceptions of adjudicated mental, convicted felons, under age etc.
