Way back in the mid 80's I was driving in Boston and I said I would never complain about Houston drivers again.
Rat race comes to mind.

Hey, if you don't like how they drive in Rome, stay off the sidewalk. My wife and I visited Rome Italy. Fortunately, the rental car came later in the trip. In Rome, most everyone drives like they're auditioning for a role in a James Bond movie. The Japanese must have gotten the idea of the kamikaze from watching their fellow Axis partner driving in Rome.
Houston should be a close 2nd.I haven't been every where in the U.S. but I certainly agree with GaryS that the drivers in Austin are the worst in Texas.
I haven't been to Iran, but a conversation I had with a White Truck engineer back in the '70's probably confirms you may be right.....
I think the worst drivers in the world are in Iran.
Just my opinion.
Pardon me, but the worst drivers anywhere are in Port Aransas, Texas. They may, and usually do, originate from off the island, but in this little island town, they visit in great numbers. They park their cars, and rent golf carts. Once they have a golf cart on city streets, they become hopelessly stupid. No traffic laws apply, nor guidelines of safety and common sense, certainly not courtesy apply to these crazed holidaymakers. It creates mayhem, injury and incredible frustration amongst those who live and work in the industry (tourism) which attracts these arrogant, irresponsible life forms.
Add: where do most of these people come from? You guessed it....New Austin, Texas.
???Why are golf carts even allowed on city streets.Just an accident looking for somewhere to happen, same as the things I call drunk bikes. In my opinion neither should be allowed on public streets.
I've got a cousin living in Austin who doesn't think the drivers there are bad at all. I believe it's because she is one of them!
My wife grew up in Chicago.....not the burbs......IN Chicago. I discovered quickly that in Chicago a turn signal means they're changing lanes NOW ...... they ain't warning you or looking for permission ...... they're making it happen!
Austin doesn't have the worst drivers, just too many. They all flocked there from Califunny and only turn left.
I hate I-35 through Austin. Worst part of any trip, day or night.
Gary, you are not even close. The worst drivers I've ever encountered were the Snowbirds heading North on I 95, the last part of May this year.
Ya ever had 30+ feet of R.V. towing a car 10 feet your back bumper at 75 MPH?That's scary...
