Randy- The name Greenblatt sounded familiar to me so l googled it.
There is a Charles Greenblatt Police Equipment Company in Brentwood NY. They are located at 34,36 Cain St. lt could be the same compamy. l did not see a website. lf it is the same company they may have old records. esp w/sales date, ser #.

Randy, Very nice piece. I am curious about the barrel length. Did you measure the barrel. I thought the 6 inch guns had a patridge sight and the 6 1/2 inch guns had a ramp sight. The 6 1/2 I just got today is a ramp sight. I have two 6 inch guns that have patridge sights.

Hi Jim,
Thanks. I just measured mine (the pre 27 that is) and it measures exactly 6.5 inches from the end of the forcing cone to the end of the barrel.

I never gave the patridge sight a second thought because this is my first 6 or 6.5 pre 27. I'm as sure as I can be without a letter that this pre 27 shipped with the patridge front sight.

Maybe they had both patridge and ramp sight options?
