Things are heating up

I shoot with a thumbs forward grip. I'm having an issue with my left thumb as it lies beside the take down lever....it gets hot!
It doesn't take long to do so either. During a normal IDPA stage with one reload, it gets hot enough to affect my grip.
Has anyone else noticed this, or do I have a unique issue?

Never had that problem......and I shoot M&P FS .40 a LOT!

News to me... and I shoot my M$P's lots as well...
