Your father is a lucky man, and so is his father! Many Blessings. My dad introduced that to me in my youth.
His favorite was Rootbeer/Peanuts!
I thought he was mean as a snake in my youth, turns out he just loved me a heap!
Today, his money is mud & I'll do anything for that 87 yr old man!

I got here 42 years ago. Things I miss already:
4) 2 lane roads where you need the high beams at night due to complete darkness. I don't know that I've clicked them on in the 21st century.

Dealt with a few snotty nosed cattle, sorry [emoji20] you can still keep the "bohled" okry [emoji38][emoji1787][emoji23]Haven't seen upaire and downaire. Upaire - north, top of the mountain or in the tree. Downaire - south, bottom of the mountain or under the water.
Boiled okry is no problem. Goes down easy and if you have ever held a cow's nose so the vet could treat them for pinkeye, okry is no problem to pick up.

Has anybody mentioned deep-fried food yet? Doesn’t matter, can’t be mentioned often enough.
I took the picture of my dinner plate below in Tennessee a few years ago. I’m not exactly a hummus-and-lettuce guy, but this got me to surrender.

I think the South could have won the Civil War if, instead of firing on Ft. Sumter, they had just kept delivering deep-fried food.

The first question asked by a Southerner of a new comer is, "Who's your family?" Your answer will affect your "status" in the community. If your from one of the "correct" families, you are welcomed like a long lost relative. However, if your not from one of the "socially acceptable" families, your a "social outcast" in the community.
In Georgia, the correct way of asking this is "Who's your people"?
