I noticed a lot of the guys who answer a lot of my questions have the SWHF Emblem up by there name, and I looked into it, as I have grown into having an obsession with these revolvers. The 100 dollar membership is up my alley at the moment as I am laid off. Anyways I noticed it mentioned a discount on letters, I assume those are the letters you can buy where they tell you all about your gun, but what else is there? Also how can I get my nice little badge on here once I join? I really wanna join and I think I will in the next few weeks.

A letter from the S&WHF includes copies of documents pertaining to your S&W firearm. This may be a letter, an invoice, or other type of document. Sometimes there are several documents. Currently, we research guns shipped from 1930-1941. Searches are free. Letters for members are $45 and for non-members $65. Each document provided is $5. The money generated from the letters is used to digitize and index additional S&W records.

Badges are $50 (membership badges at the $100 level are copper tone...see photo below).

Can i send the 50 bucks with my 100 for membership and get my badge or do i have to wait? And I see, well expect to see me on the roster lol.

You can include the $50 and indicate you would like to order a badge. We have not published a roster of members.

That is correct regarding the S&WHF. However, Roy Jinks still letters S&Ws from all decades.

Dirty Harry, you might also want to consider joining the Smith & Wesson Collectors Association. They have a roster and publish a quarterly magazine. Best investment I have made in years. See the SWCA public area at the lower section of this forum. Welcome.

+1

+1 to what Quinn said.....I have been involved with S&W's professionally and personally for 40 plus years.....I joined this forum last year, and the SWCA and the SWHF a few months later....the SWCA publishes a top rate magazine, and the SWHF was very helpful in my research on a RM that I own. Plus it gives me a very valuable resource - people who are more knowledgable than I am to "network" with. AS far as getting your icon's on your postings, you can contact the moderator ( Lee) and give him your membership #'s and he will take care of the rest.
