I had a few questions though

I carry a Glock G30 right now. I had a G27 but hated the way it felt when shooting it. It was like a small hand sized cannon.

I just got a M&P9mm and LOVE it.

does anyone know how a M&P9c will stack up with a Glock G26?
I fire my G30 well but I have a problem with the way my middle finger lays on the trigger guard. after 150+ rounds it leaves a mark in my finger and starts to be a little painful. The M&P's seem to fit better.

I am going to the store this weekend to hold a 9c but just wanted to know what anything thinks about it and how it compares to a G26 and how it is recoil wise and carrying?

thanks

Glock triggers tend to "slap" my trigger finger, causing a little soreness after a few rounds. My M&P compact does not do that. You've made a good choice. It's really nice for concealed carry. I also really like the Kydex type holsters (like the Galco Triton) in the picture.

I think it shoot nice, with little recoil. Remember the 9mm has less recoil than a .40 ( your glock 27). It has a much better grip than the Glock 26. I think it's more like a Glock 19. Heres a video of me shooting the M&P 9c, you can tell from the video their is not much kick to this gun.

I figured it having less recoil. If i get a .40 it will be in a full frame or compact like a G23. My G30 has less recoil than the G27

I am going Saturday to look at the M&P9c

I struggled with the decision of whether to go with the 9mm or the .40S&W chambering for the M&P compact. In the end, I went with the .40S&W reasoning I could buy a 9mm barrel and magazines later. I like this pistol, but it's right on the edge for me recoil-wise (I have arthritis in my hands and wrists, so recoil is/can be a real problem for me). I've got a 9mm barrel on order and can't wait to try it.

Best of luck,

Dave

I had a Glock 26, but I sold it to buy a M&P9c, primarily intending it to be for my wife...but I like it too. It fits my hand so much better than the Glock. Plus, at 12 + 1, it has even higher capacity than the Glock's standard 10 round capacity, although I know you can get higher capacity magazines for the Glock. Actually you can use the FS M&P9 17 round mags in the M&P9c if you wish, as well.

Personally, I prefer the M&P9c.

The MP9c, you gotta love it!

The MP9c is an excellent choice for concealed carry. Manageable/negligible recoil and it conceals very well. The low price of decent 9mm means you will shoot often and hence better. Added to all that the darn thing is a kick in the pants to shoot, very accurate and easy to control. I've had mine for several years and thousands of rounds without a single FTF/FTE no matter what I feed it. One of the three grips sizes is bound to insure a perfect fit to your hand. All in all one of S&W's better efforts, one hell of a gun.

Awsome info guys. I am going to go try to pick one up this weekend if the wifes lets me, It is her turn to get a gun next.

I am starting to lean away from Glocks. the fit of other guns is starting to feel better in myhand and shooting. Even though you can get Glocks here in AZ for very cheap.

Went to the store to get some 35 Rem ammo and 45 ammo ( which is a biotch to get right now due to the recall out) They didn't have any M&P9c's in stock. They are on sale for $519 though.
