Tax time is coming! so is spring/summer. Thinking about a 9mm 2.0 compact. i live in the deep south do a lot of fishing/woods roaming and gardening, my carry guns get treated rough heavy sweat/rain and possibly a creek dunking now and again. I know this kinda use screams glock But i feel better carrying a handgun with a manual safety. I noticed the M&P's are stainless steel and coated? seems like a really tough finish. Also how bad is detailing the slide? I guess it's not much of a difference but the 4.0 vs 3.6 i kinda like the looks of the 3.6 better anybody have a comparison pic of the two?

Here's my 3.6 with my 4.0. I don't use my 3.6 as much as the 4.0. I don't treat the 4.0 properly and it's holding up well.

nice pic! any big difference in shootability or carrying?

The 4.0 seems to shoot flatter when the magazine is getting empty and the gun is lighter than the 3.6. But, that might just be in my head.

The 3.6 conceals a little better in an outside the waistband holster at the ride height I like. The half inch isn't much but the bottom of the holster doesn't seem to come out from under a jacket as easy. Otherwise, they are pretty much the same gun. Even these two issues are slight.

I carry a 2.0 4 inch every day, and have yet to have any damage to the gun from my sweat.
BTW, I carry the 2.0 with the manaul safeties. I carry appendix, in a KSG Sidekick, for over a year NOW.
AGAIN, zero issues.

... But iwb doesn't make sense to lose the sight radius or capacity by going to the 3.6.....

Unless you have to really worry about NPE's. I'm able to hide the 4" 2.0 without issue.

OP :
Buy what is best going to work for you, I'm just offering my personal experience.
