Third Generations vs. M&P Line?

I recently traded a M&P45 straight up for a 4506, I purchased the M&P a few years ago to see what all the hoopla over plastic guns was about, while it was a reliable tool the trigger was very mushy even after smithing, accuracy was only fair. The 4506 has a superb trigger out of the box, is extremely accurate and every bit as reliable as the M&P. I'm very happy with my trade. To me the 4506 is a better pistol in every way except capacity 8 vs 10. I would pick a 3rd Gen over any plastic striker fired pistol.

I have mostly Greek and Pakistani, with some British. I don't think I have any Indian.

The Milsurp used to be cheap and plentiful, but now there isn't that much around.

I have owned several 3rd gen 9mm's (3913 LS, 3913NL, 908 ss, 3914), they were all excellent guns. Just got rid of them for financial reasons. These days I'm strictly into revolvers. I have held and shot, but NEVER been tempted to own any of the M&P semi-autos.

Yep, same storm. February 10, 1973. I was the 21 year old Chief of Police in the small panhandle town of Jay, Florida. More snow than even the old timers here had ever seen. Two foot snow drifts. I know that's not much to folks up north but, believe me, it was a big deal down here. Nobody had the least idea how to drive in it. What a mess! Oh, BTW, I love my three third gens (5943, 5946, 4586).

The new plastic guns are fine, but they have no soul. I've owned Glocks in the past & had a M&P40c which I just sold. From now on, no more striker fired guns for me. Only SA/DA guns with a hammer. GARY

I cannot understand the thinking and acceptance of those draconian rules by the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Where did this come from? Is this not the state that defied the British and stood the ground at Lexington Green and fired "the shot heard 'round the world"? I guess if those events happened today they might be on the Green but no one would have a firearm and they would all be subjects of the Crown.

The truth is that our Massachusetts leftist moonbatism is heavily focused in three places: 1) inner cities, 2) certain extremely wealthy suburbs and, 3) academic enclaves. Outside of those areas, Massachusetts is actually not an overly nutty place. Too bad for us that the sane people are somewhat outnumbered by the folks in those three categories, which tends to leave us reasonably sane folks pretty much disenfranchised come voting time.

Please don't consider us all crazy. On the other hand, it's okay to feel sorry for us. Most of us would move out of here tomorrow if employment, real estate, family & friends weren't considerations.

I have met many people who reside in the Commonwealth as they come to New Hampshire to shop and head north into Maine and they are nice, decent people but they seem resigned to accepting this lot in life. I think there are many more of them than the moonbats - as you call them. It also strikes me that the "middle class" is supporting the enclaves of wealthy and the academia left, not to mention the assistance to the welfare folks who do need help and need job training. Those type folks just want to run everything on your dime. They don't want to actually pay for anything. The only and best way to fix that is to organize, unite and vote them out of office and take back the type of government our Founding Father envisioned.. I wonder what those farmers who stood on the Lexington Green that morning of April 19, 1775 would say if they could see the Commonwealth today.

Oh, I do get your point... and especially how tragic it is given our state's and nation's history. The problem is that the moonbats (and their enablers, followers & social-welfare dependents) now outnumber the normal rational working/tax-paying people and have for quite a while now. Math is the problem. The moonbats simply have more votes than we do. We can organize all we want... we are still going to be out-voted. Change really isn't possible. Truth is that it's only going to get worse. A lot worse. Escape, if you can do it, is the only real answer.
