I've been trying for months to get my 5903 sighted in. I did it off a rest and every time I got it close, I'd give the sights one or two last clicks and I'd completely lose the shots. I mean I had NO idea where the shots were going. I was even shooting it SA. I know that I'm not great shakes with a pistol (carbines are my first love) but I can usually get the shots on target with semi or revolver, especially at SD distances out to around 10 yards. If I couldn't I certainly wouldn't depend on pistols for SD. I was very careful of grip, finger control, everything involved in shooting a pistol. After a half dozen range sessions, I swore up and down something was wrong with the sights or the gun, the FIRST time I ever felt that way. Well, finally, it came together and it was ME after all. All I can figure is that I shoot too many different types of handguns and what works for most might not work for all of them. My son has a Springfield XD that is an excellent gun that I never shot much, but when I did I was terrible with it. Anyway, after all this I think I learned something about shooting discipline that will make me better in the future. See pic. Shot at 5,10 and 25 yards.
