I ordered a special battery from Home Depot on 10 December using their website for delivery to my local store. Message came up saying the item will arrive 18 December. Checked progress that day and a "delayed" message appeared. Oh well, figured the season's rush had hosed up the delivery.

Got back from our Christmas in Texas and still the same message. Hmmm. Went to the Home Depot today and their tracking info says "Delivered". Girl searches all the pickup bins with no joy. Then she says, "Ahh, it might have been put in our regular mailbox as it is small." She disappears out back and finally returns with my little box. "Sorry, it looks like somebody thought it was a delivery for the techs. It was in their area." That's why it never appeared as delivered on my computer as it was never entered into the HD system. Oops.

Smart Home Depot girl.

Indeed. She was very helpful, and I have no problem patiently waiting for people who are actually showing an interest in their job to fix things. One of her coworkers actually commented that I was being very patient. Says much about how much of the population is wound way too tight. #mass_shootings; #familyannihilators.

I had a similar situation with my credit card account. The client service person was helpful and working it through. She apologized for the time and inconvenience. I answered it wasn’t that hard, just a phone call on my part and I appreciate the help. She truly sounded grateful that she was not being yelled at.
