Super Tucano. Most of the A-10 capability (cept for tank killing) and already fielded. Or go with the 21st Century answer - drones. USAF ain't gonna buy a single engine prop plane, so accept the inevitable: a low/high mix of drones and 5th gen multirole "fighters" a/k/a light bombers. Maybe a AC-130J variant for CAS, but the future lies in AI-driven drones.
