Don't have one but I do have a T/C bolt rifle in 308. All camo including the 3-9 scope. I've shot 3/4" - 100 yard groups with it from a rest but I can't get the trigger adjusted to below 3.5 lbs. Got recalled but other than that it has been a good rifle. I like the 5R rifling concept.
Have one in 308 and 22lr, both have been great.
308 is light but very accurate. Threaded barrel on mine so lots of options there. Mags hold 5, fits flush, rotary style...perfect for hunting. Plus I got a rebate on mine.
22 is out of the box best 22 around in my opinion. Free floated, last shot hold open with their mag, threaded barrel, peep sights with fiber optic bead, pic rail molded into receiver, magpul furniture...ruger 10/22 may be more customizable but what else do you need?
Both backed by Smith and Wesson to boot.

A dealer had several at the Columbia SC gun show a couple of months ago. $320 for the 6.5 Creedmore, $240 for the 243, $220 for the 308. I asked about the price variation and he said few people want a 243, and nobody wants a 308. I just smiled and said "I do".
Shoots cheap factory 150 grain into 1.25" at 100 yards. Haven't tried to reload for it yet, and I may not.
Internet complaints include stiff safety (I agree), noisy bolt operation (not on mine), hard trigger pull (not on mine).

Thank you for your info. It sounds like a lot of rifle for the money. I thought about the Creedmoor but read about the high cost of ammo and reloading components so I will stick with the 243 if I buy one.

My son has a Compass in 6.5 Creedmoor and the same caliber in a Savage Axis II. The Compass is a nice little rifle, though the safety is a bit small. Between the two, he prefers the Savage. Better trigger out of the box and tang safety. Shoots a bit more accurate too.

I have two, a 30/06 amd a .223. Both are fine accurate rifles.
