This will sound a little weird coming from a die-hard S&W guy, but since I first saw a picture of one as a kid in the fifties, I've always wanted a High Standard Natchez--never have run across one.
The next time I go to Italy, I plan to look for a Beretta 98 in .30 Luger. I think the cartridge is near worthless, but the pistol is obscure enough that I want one. Not too many people in the US know about that gun.
Putting a .30 Luger barrel in a 92 just won't be the same.
I got hooked on guns in my last couple years of high school; made up a list of the ones I would like to have someday, ranging from a Springfield 1873 Trapdoor to a new Colt Gold Cup and a Model 29. Got all of them but one a long time ago, except for a 3rd Model Woodsman Match Target, 4 1/2". Elusive little things, and getting pricey.
I own a Webley Fosbery. But I like to own an Mauser Zigzag model 1878 to. But these are in a reasneble condition about 5000 dollar.
I do think that means a divorce.
I guess an MP5 PDW, non-suppressed. I fired a suppressed one and it's like those old Thompson BB guns you shoot the star with at the fair, except for the shower of brass flying out of it. I need noise. Joe
WOW, I didn't know we had so many big bore rifle buffs on this board. I knew about S&WChad but the rest of you are coming out of the closet . I've always been a nut for the big guns!!
Here is my list, it goes along with many others on here...
A nice H&H double rifle
H&K 53 (weeell any H&K SMG really, I just like shooting the 53)
AMT AutoMag 44 Mag
I know the Auto Mag isn't the greatest of guns, I remember seeing one when I was 12 or so for $750.00 in the local gun shop. I just fell in love with the pistol. Almost bought a H&K 51 several years ago, only thing is it was belt fed, if it had been magazine fed I'da bought it. Kinda wish I'da bought it now...it would have easily tripled in value.
For me, a 1918 mlnt BAR and a 1921 Thompson in a fitted case with acc. I live behind the lines in occupied Il. so the chances are slim that I will ever have them. Still, I can dream.
