Thoughts on new M25 Classic?

I almost bought a Model 25, but instead decided on the Model 27; mostly because of the top-strap checkering and cheaper to shoot. Both revolvers are about the same except for the bore size.
Shooting wise the double-action feels smooth and easy to pull, one can easily stage the trigger for bullseye shooting. The single-action is absolutely perfect even better then my Colt Gold Cup National Match.

What is the Model 25 Classic? Anyone have a photo to go along with the description?

I bought a model 25-10 brand new . I quickly discovered that it leaded the barrel , really bad and it shot very high with my standard 255gr cast bullets using current alliant load data . I had my friend , an amateur gunsmith locate the cross pin on the front sight ( very very hard to find ) and install a much taller partridge front sight . When I slugged the barrel I discovered the groove diameter to be approx .453 and there was a terrible choke (tight spot) where the barrel threaded onto the frame . After driving a lead slug through it , I measured it and found my lead slug now measured .449 . The cylinder throats were undersize vs the barrel , .452 . I finally got most of the issues remedied , by then I was tired of fooling with it so I sold it . I have never wanted it back again . I do have a 25-5 , 4" that's a real pleasure to shoot . The internal measurements on this one were spot on . You might have better luck buying a new 25 Classic than I did . Regards, Paul

I purchased one new and Love it! Shoots very accurate and is comfortable. I did not like the original S&W grips it came with so I put on some Altamont grips. Feels much better.

You would think they could actually make it classic. At least drop the lock on the classic line.

The .45 Colt M25 anyone have this Classic version and how do you like it?
While I do not have a Model 25 classic, mine is a Model 27 Classic

Mine is built on the newer 4 screw frame. That extra screw does practically nothing, but it looks good

I find the fit of mine to be exceptional, the revolver's accuracy is among the best of any Smith & Wesson 357 Magnum that I own or have shot

The last decade or so the Factory nickel has been the best I have ever seen

And thanks to the new owners of Smith & Wesson, square butts are back. :D

Of course none of this matters if you cant get past the lock
