Three dead at Lock, Stock & Barrel range in Grantville GA?

Anybody that shoots on a home range needs to have multiple types of surveillance. These buttheads took the DVR setup. Hope they had some type of cam setup on the drive going out. Where ever we shoot make sure nobody is waiting or following you home. This event really sucks

This is a real shame but seems crimes like this are getting more common in all areas of the country. We just don't hear about them all.

75Vette, can you keep us informed if and when they are caught?? Would be curious as to how many were involved and already have an idea what they look like!! These idiots need to be taken off the streets. Larry

Could the owners and grandson been killed because they were known to them?
Were they let in after the range was closed for the day because they were known?
Could it be a previous employee that knew the owner and the shop layout or one that passed on the information to the perps?

I'm betting they were familiar with the killer(s). I hope the DVR automatically backed up to a remote server system.

Just saw a report indicating that the county coroner found that his parents and his son were the victims of that horrible crime.

No words to describe.

Tragic. On a side note, interesting that there are still areas of our country where law enforcement does not regard the shooting community as a threat.

Mr Hawk Sr kept a gun on his side 24/7. I'm thinking either someone known to the family or someone that had cased the shop and rushed them at quitting time. Totally unnecessary killings and in a tight knit community. I'll keep up with anything new.

Just read an update from MSN on Firefox. Some 40 guns were stolen, homicides probably to facilitate the thefts.

Further update, victims were the father, mother and son of the county coroner.

When I was still working the road in my old agency, we had several home invasion robberies that turned into homicides. In every case, a friend or relative to the victims was in on the crime. Tipped off a bad guy, or was bragging about the target, whatever, someone had inside knowledge. The kid was 17 or so, I'm betting the perps knew him. I hope the perps get pulled over and refuse to "show me your hands". Otherwise in this climate they'll get released without bond and be gone...
