Time For New Revolver Design?

Those in search of a "really good double action trigger pull" need look no further than the Miculek Spring Kit. It's main claim to fame is the trigger pull weight is whatever you want it to be--although he cautions against going below 7 pounds lest it won't go bang.

The kit comes with the expected two springs, and the instructions. Now if you're like me, and think you have no need whatsoever for instructions on how to replace two springs in a S&W revolver, think again!!

NOTHING would move when I finished the first time around--locked up tighter than Dick's hat band!!

OH, okay---maybe I should have a look at those instructions. It was a worthwhile look. Everything worked as intended the second time around---and it was slicker than greased Owl doo-doo on a brass door knob!!

The Miculek spring kits are sold out on the web site!

Cost? Durability? Speed? Looks?

Cost?
A new design would need to cost less in order for S&W to show any interest. Cost reduction means labor cost reduction. Get the humans out of the equation so you don't have to pay them.

Durable?
Use more expensive, thicker, heavier materials. Pay expert craftsmen to hand fit all the parts together.

Speed?
Make sure it works the same way that people are used to so that they do not need to learn any new skills to use it.

Looks?
Make movies where the hero played by Keanu Reeves can only solve problems by using your revolver instead of any other firearm available. Make sure the movie sells millions of tickets. Make sure Reeves' character tells the bad guys that the reason they are losing is because of your revolver, using very clever dialogue.
