Has anyone ever considered how much more time we would have to spend at the range shooting if we were not sitting on our caboose writing dribble on this forum. I roughly guess that I could spend an additional twenty days a year if I was not visiting with all you fine people here.

I have thought about this before, and I concur. That is why I only visit with all of you, when I am at work and can not go to the range. Even though I work with a S&W M&P I can't exactly do "range work" with it here, that is unless I want to drastically increase my range time for about 40 hours a week.

Don't get me wrong I like the forum, put up with the people, but my off time is too valuable for any kind of computer screen.

Yeah but with ammo costs and availability, I plan my range visits accordingly. Sure I'd like to shoot more but it's just not feasible right now.

My shooting time at the range is been curtailed recently. This is because of the ammo shortage. I "have" ammo, I just don't want to use it up!

When I do go to the range, I've come to the point in my lifelong shooting experience that sometimes I spend more time BS'n with the good old boys as opposed to actually shooting. You never know who or what you are going to run into.

I belong to a private club and some of the shooters are not only interesting, but experts in their own right. We have even one "gun writer" that regularly shoots at our club.

We also have some of the typical, "Billy Bob", down home, "town character" types too! They all make it interesting.

If I go to the range and don't expend a bunch of ammo, that's OK too!

My range trips are now slo-fire with six full moon clips for my 625. Almost not worth the gas but it will allow me to stretch out my supply for quite a while.

Granted we should be at the range or in the woods, but where are the primers?
They used to say in the Army that the three best things in life were a drink before and a smoke after.
I put the forum in the before the range category after is of course cleaning guns and reloading brass. I am sort of stuck in the before position.

It's a lot cheaper for me to shoot you-know-what around here than shoot at the range.

Not cheap for Lee, though.

Went this am.My club has a military rifle shoot once a month from May-Sept. I took my 1903a3 Smith-Carona, shot a 411 with 4x's.It's more of a get together than anything else. I wish it were year round but most of the shooters are older and it's hard to deal with the snow
