Stubbie N-Frames,you guys are killing me! That Lew Horton 44 is awsome! Sure are some beautiful N-Frames Thanks for all the pictures

Iggy, I really like the grips shortened like that. Looks like it means business!
Our own VM did those for me. I sent him a butchered pair of targets and told him I wanted a set of PC Targets like these and that is what he came up with.

I made this pair for my Mdl 58 44 years ago and just got use to them.

For Those Pards Who Asked About My Pic,

That was an absolutely ugly Smith and Wesson that was for sale on one of the auction sites about a year or so ago. It was ridiculously priced very high and never sold. There was much discussion here about it as to what it really was, i.e. "An Outdoorsman? A M1917?"

I have a large folder in my "Documents" that has a lot of photos of S&W revolvers from this site and other sources. That revolver is in the folder labled, "Ugly Smittys".

Here's several of my N-Frames.

These are a few of my Bowen N frames. The first is a 5" Model 27 converted to 44 Special, with extended Spegel Boot Grips in Makassar Ebony. The other three are a Model 58 in 41 Magnum but with an ejector shroud, and the other two are Model 520s, one in 45 S&W and the other in 44 Special.

CPRHER, as another Hamilton Bowen fan ,I 've got to say wow, your revolvers are superb. All my best, Joe.

I only have photos of a very few of my N frames available and a couple of those fall outside the date range of this forum but here they are.

There are a few more that I haven gotten around to, but you get the idea.

Come on, who doesn't love N-frames?

The problem is that a topic like this actually spans three forums. Also most of us have collections that fluctuate so there never is a full photographic record of what we have. I have several of my N-frames photographed but by no means are all of them done yet. I wish I had the time to photograph them all.

Here is the VERY first revolver that I ever bought new. In fact it was the first firearm period that I had ever purchased new. It was back in the 70s. I still have this revolver today. This revolver started my love for the 27/327/627 family of revolvers.

I have bought a few more 27s since then.

Then in 1997 the 8 shot N-frames arrived.

Then came 2000 and the return of carbon steel model 27s in the new 8 shot configuration. So far there have been 6 variations produced. Below is one of each variation. All six revolvers in the set have the same serial number with different prefixes.

Then we get into the 57/357/657 family of 41 Magnums. I know this group photo has some non-S&Ws in it, sorry.
